Azopt, a new eye drop for glaucoma
February 1999
Alcon is now marketing Azopt, a new eye drop for glaucoma.
Azopt (brinzolamide) is a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor...similar to Trusopt (dorzolamide). These drugs lower intraocular pressure by reducing the production of fluid in the eye.
Azopt works as well as Trusopt...with less stinging and burning.
